Half the year has passed us by?! The second half looks to be a ___________________, not sure what to make of it. But we will kick it off with a flourish of Barbeque and fireworks on the 4th of July.
Looking back, I just love that a bunch of guys got together in the 1776 and said; ‘We’ve had enough’. Thankfully, they didn’t just stop there, but they kept working to declare independence, write a constitution, create a system of government and write laws to guide a new, formative Nation. We can learn a lot from these revolutionaries.
- They had an incredible passion for Independence and stuck to it.
- They gathered great minds and discussed possibilities. They searched the world of current thought without the use of AI or the Internet. What they wrote were more than just words, those words formed our future.
- They stood and honored those words; both in State Houses to ratify them and on the battlefield to uphold them.
At Harvest Financial, We feel a bit of kinship to these ideals. We listen to, hear, and understand your dreams. We stand knowing the value of planning: to create something - hopefully to bring your dreams to reality (without blood shed or loss of limb).
The political environment and international situations are providing strong head winds. I have faith that there are good people watching the sails and the horizon and will make course corrections. Currently, the S&P 500 Index (SPX) has been a bit more up- so good news on that front. (up 14.48% year to date through June 28)
We will be closed on the 4th of July and back in the office on Friday. We will monitor affairs of the economy, we will advise and we will answer questions. We ask that you keep the dreams burning bright and share a picture every once in a while!
